To enable holistic development of villages and its people, the projects focuses on improving livelihood, health, earl childhood development, youth related activities, education, water & sanitation, environment, and strengthening grassroots institutions.
Projects under this segment work. together with rural farmers working with Self Help Groups and Farmers Clubs. The group members receive focused training on sustainable agricultural practices and animal husbandry to improve their productivity, income, and quality of life.
To promote non-farm livelihoods, skills and vocational training is established, where youth are trained on income generating and vocational skills like computer applications, tailoring, beautician, handicrafts, machine repair, among others. VEERA have also initiated skills courses on farm techniques for rural youth and interested farmers.
Projects under this segment engage in women empowerment through education and training, capacity building, awareness activities and facilitation of self help groups and access to government schemes.
VEERA undertakes focused interventions in agriculture, horticulture and livestock management. Such interventions have been designed to improve efficiency in production systems, lower input costs, increase per capita output household level and improve food and nutritional security at household level.
